In alignment with Egypt Vision 2030 and its digital transformation strategy, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has launched Digital Egypt. This comprehensive initiative aims to accelerate
digital transformation and promote the adoption of digital technologies across sectors as part of the Egyptian government vision. Significant investments are being made to develop robust digital infrastructure, foster innovation and entrepreneurship, and promote digital skills development, reflecting Egypt’s commitment to its digital transformation journey.

In collaboration with C-level executives and Heads of Sectors involved in the Digital Transformation Journey, we are hosting Digital First Egypt Forum on September 26-27. Egypt is on a path of rapid digitalization, and such a conference provides a platform to discuss and showcase the potential of digital transformation. It enables knowledge
sharing, highlights best practices, cutting-edge technologies, and facilitates collaboration among industry experts, government officials, and entrepreneurs. By focusing on the challenges, opportunities, and strategies for digital transformation, the conference empowers participants to drive innovation, enhance efficiency and build the digital future of Egypt.

Khaled El Attar is leading Egypt’s Digital Transformation as the Vice Minister for Digital Transformation, Automation and Administrative Development at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) since June 2018. He is also holding the position of the Head of IT Infrastructure Sector at MCIT since 2015.
El Attar has more than 35 years of experience in the field of Informatics, supervising more than 150 projects in this field in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Germany and USA. He has held multiple managerial positions at IBM for 28 years, as well as Raya, and worked as a lecturer at Cairo University.
El Attar supervises the implementation of development and modernization initiatives and projects using IT to improve the level of automated services provided to citizens in partnership with the Country’s various agencies and institutions.
El Attar has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with honors, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), in addition to a Master’s degree in Research at the University of Liverpool. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Change Management at Liverpool University.
